The Canon EOS C300 Mark III Cinema Camera is a complete game changer, and professional 4K cinema video camera that features a durable, powerful and easy-to-use design. The durable C300 Mark III sports the next generation Super 35mm Dual Gain Output (DGO) Sensor along with its powerful DIGIC DV7 image processor specifically designed for high bit rate 4K video capture; however, it also delivers stunning image quality with high sensitivity, low noise and astonishing detail.
Key features to this powerhouse, is that it captures remarkable 4K/Full HD video offering rates up to 120 fps in 4K video recording, while 2K CROP mode provides even greater flexibility with speeds of up to 180 fps, and it delivers incredible 16 stops of Dynamic Range, which is also compatible with Canons exclusive Dual Pixel CMOS Autofocus technology. The power image sensor utilises its technology by combining images via pixels shot with a saturation-prioritising amplifier for bright areas and a lower-noise noise-prioritising amplifier for the darker areas. The advanced DIGIC DV7 image processor is also the main engine behind its powerful features such as high frame recording, its Dual Gain Output (DGO), Cinema Raw Light Recording, Electronic Image Stabilisation, Dual Pixel Autofocus, and proxy recording. In addition to the standard Intra-based XF-AVC codecs, Canon has also added a 4:2:2 10-bit Long GOP-based codec with consideration for a balance of quality and data rates.
Other features include both Canon Log 2 and Canon Log 3 Gamma which is great for post-production as it provides the most post-production flexibility and full dynamic range of the sensor when utilising Canon Log 2. However, Canon Log 3 provides an alternative with only a slightly reduced dynamic range of 14 stops; 5-Axis Electronic Image Stabilisation; Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology for both Touch AF and Face Detection; a large LM-V2 4.3 LCD Screen with approx. 2.76m-dots; 4-Channel Audio Recording allowing input from the cameras internal microphone, mini mic port, and XLR ports; and the option of uploading and applying custom LUTs to the Canon EOS C300.
